DWR: Don’t Forget To Take Mandatory Boating Course

by | Apr 8, 2024 | News | 0 comments

As you’re getting all your gear ready for your first trip to the lake don’t forget to get online and take the required annual mussel-aware boater course. This applies to residents and non-residents and includes any kind of boat or watercraft, including paddle boards, kayaks, and other non-motorized watercraft. The boater registration payment can be made through the Utah Division of Motor Vehicles, and the aquatic invasive species fee can be paid at www.dwrapps.utah.gov. The fee is $20 per watercraft for residents, and $25 per watercraft for non-residents. The funds help pay for new dip tanks being installed around the state to decontaminate boats more efficiently.
