A unique project that is part of the downtown Vernal revitalization is moving forward.
The Vernal Avenue project is work that will actually change the street itself and includes
new pavement, curb and gutter, diagonal parking, streetlights, street trees, wider
sidewalks and two mid-block crossings for pedestrian safety. “The City received a grant
to rebuild Vernal Avenue from Main Street to 200 South,” explains Vernal City Manager
Quinn Bennion. “The project is designed and currently out to bid.” It is anticipated the project will be constructed in the summer of 2024 or in 2025 depending on the
availability of the contractor.
