A man intent on getting $20 dollars he was owed ended up arrested and in jail for felony Aggravated Assault, Robbery, and Burglary and all without recovering his $20 dollars. According to the Affidavit of Probable Cause, 67-year-old Terry Glen Thayn went to a residence in unincorporated Duchesne County on March 7th to demand his $20 dollars. When the woman could not pay him Thayn allegedly punched the woman, who had recently had a pacemaker installed, in the chest, shoved her down onto a table and took her phone as collateral until she could pay him. He left in his vehicle. The woman called out to her landlord at a different camper on the same property and the landlord got in his own vehicle and chased down Thayn. The pair ended up taking turns ramming the other’s vehicle until Thayn got out of the vehicle at his residence. The woman’s phone fell out during a scuffle between the two and the landlord took the phone and left with it. In addition to the felony charges, Thayn has been charged with Criminal Trespass, Criminal Mischief, Failure to Install an Ignition Interlock Device, and Driving on a Suspended License, among other charges.
