The feeling of spring is in the air and for some that means getting an early start on yard cleanup. Uintah Fire District burn requirements state that for agricultural burning no burn permit is required through the month of May but you are still required to call dispatch to inform them of the plan to burn. Starting June 1st a burn permit is required for agricultural burning. The Uintah Fire District website shows that spring burning for yard cleanup does not open until March 30th. In city limits, a burn permit for yard cleanup is always required and you must always notify dispatch. Outside of municipalities in Uintah County the burn permit is not required during the spring but you still must notify dispatch. Spring burning is allowed from March 30th through May 30th. Call Central Dispatch at 435-789-4222. Burn permits can be found on www.UintahFire.com.
