The Union High School Sterling Scholars are ready for Region competition this week. This year’s scholars for Union are Brianne Bird for Science, Deegan Brokaw for Business and Marketing, Sadie Fitzpatrick for Family and Consumer Science, Krysta Squire for English, Chloe Aland for Visual Arts, Elise Quick for Speech/Theater Arts/Forensics, MaKaylee Riding for Dance, and Jocelyn Miles for Agricultural Science.
Duchesne County School District held their district banquet for Sterling Scholars on March 4th. “The evening went great and all of the Sterling Scholars were presented with scholarships from UB Tech and USU Uintah Basin,” shares Union Sterling Scholar advisor Aimee Spunaugle. “Working with the Sterling Scholars is one of my favorite parts of my job. Every year, I am in awe of the amazing teenagers that I have the privilege of working with. This year is no exception,” continues Aimee. “These students have brilliant minds and caring hearts.” Region competition is taking place March 12th at Utah Valley University.
