A Fort Duchesne woman drove away as an officer attempted to conduct a traffic stop in
Ballard on Friday and hit two other vehicles in the process. 22-year-old Kamry Rose Post
was driving a light colored Cadillac when she abruptly accelerated as the officer
attempted to pull her over. The officer terminated the pursuit and alerted Roosevelt
authorities as Post began passing multiple vehicles, kicking up a large dust cloud. In the
process, the Cadillac collided with a white pickup truck and another vehicle before
becoming disabled in the driveway of a Ballard tire shop. When the officer arrived at the
Cadillac, bystanders reported that the female driver had exited the vehicle and ran into
the shop area of the tire store. Post was believed to be hiding in a locked bathroom where
the strong odor of marijuana was emitting from. Post would not exit and the door was
eventually opened from the outside. Post was taken into custody. Dispatch located a total
of 6 active felony and misdemeanor arrest warrants for Post out of local jurisdictions and
each were listed as no bail accepted. It was also found that Post’s driver’s license was
invalid and revoked. Post was arrested on offenses including drug charges and reckless
driving.
