The well known and well loved Director of Library and Museum Services for Uintah County has put in his notice in order to take another career opportunity in neighboring Colorado. Uintah County Library Director Sam Passey gave his notice to the county last week and announced his resignation to the Uintah County Library Board during their meeting on Wednesday. “I’d like to thank all the people of Uintah County who made working at the library such a wonderful experience the past 17 and a half years,” shares Passey. “Helping build the new library and working with so many great people has been a highlight of my life.” Passey’s last day with Uintah County is March 1st. He will then be headed to the Rifle area where he will take over as the Associate Dean of Library Services at Colorado Mountain College.
