The mild winter makes it easy to imagine summer days at the lake and with the Red Fleet
State Park construction moving along, many community members are eager to try out the
new facilities. Last month, it was reported that the project was on track for a May 31st
completion date but a delay has been announced since then. Red Fleet State Park
Manager Amanda White shared last week that the project will have some delays due to
the sewer system redesign. What exactly this means for access this summer is not yet
clear but whenever the facilities, including larger campsites and bathrooms, do open it
will have been worth the wait.
