The word has been circulating that the Republican Party is holding a Presidential Preference Poll during Caucus meetings on March 5th. The Democratic Party, however, will receive ballots in the mail. The Uintah County Clerk-Auditor Office shared on Tuesday that, “The Democratic Party has chosen to participate in the 2024 Presidential Primary to be held March 5th. Ballots will be sent to active voters affiliated with the Democratic Party. It is too late to change your party affiliation, but anyone may request a Democratic Ballot. Fill out the form on the County website: uintah.utah.gov [under] Election Information or email the Clerk-Auditor’s office [at] clerk-auditor@uintah.utah.gov.” The Republican Party is handling its own election during the Caucus meetings so no ballots are being sent out to registered Republicans.
