What Is The Presidential Preference Poll Taking Place At The Republican Caucus?

by | Feb 13, 2024 | News | 0 comments

The Republican Party Presidential Preference Poll is three weeks away on Caucus night, March 5th. This takes the place of the usual Presidential Primary. The Utah Republican Party announced last month that the final list of candidates who have qualified and remain on the ballot are Ryan Binkley, Ron DeSantis, Nikki Haley, Asa Hutchinson, Vivek Ramaswamy, and Donald Trump. Utah Republican Party Chair Rob Axson stated, “We are looking forward to any registered Republican in Utah participating in caucus and expressing their support for their preferred candidate. We have invited and encouraged these candidates to get to know our Republican electorate leading up to caucus night on March 5, 2024.” The votes in the Presidential Preference Poll directly relate to the votes that the Republican National Delegates from Utah will cast during the Republican National Convention in July. The first round of votes at the Convention will directly reflect proportional vote results from the Preference Poll for each candidate that receives at least 15 percent support from Utah Republicans.
