Ashley National Forest is inviting the public to sign up for field trips that are part of their ongoing Wilderness Evaluation process. The Wilderness Evaluation is gathering information to decide if any additional forest land will be designated for wilderness. The field trips are meant to encourage involvement and give the public a say in future decisions regarding wilderness designations. A Manila field trip will be held
September 28th
and will visit Browne Lake, Death Valley or Spirit Lake. A Duchesne field trip will be held
September 29th
and will visit Crow Canyon or the Blind Stream area. A Vernal field trip will be held
September 30th
and will visit Dry Fork, Paradise, or the Pot Hole Road area. Each trip starts at the respective Forest Service office and lasts
from 10am to 2pm
. Those interested in attending need to RSVP with the Forest Service.
