Scammers continue to find victims in the region as they pretend to be from the United States Postal Service. The Duchesne County Sheriff’s Office is sounding the alarm and warning local citizens. “Sad to say, scam calls are increasing every day and they are getting more resourceful than ever,” shares the announcement. “This scammer is impersonating the US Postal Service, using a fake website…They call telling you that your package is delayed and proceed to ask for personal information… DO NOT FALL FOR THIS.” Duchesne County Sheriff’s Office would like the public to be aware of these types of phone calls and scam websites. Scammers can be very believable. DO NOT give any personal information out to anyone over the phone.
