Locals attended a special training event in southern Utah over the weekend. The Duchesne Volunteer Fire Department shared that members of the Duchesne Fire Department attended the annual Utah Fire and Rescue Academy Winter Fire School held in Saint George on Friday and Saturday. They reported that it was a valuable training experience and another excellent Winter Fire School. Classes attended include Rope Rescue, Hybrid / Electric Vehicle Awareness, Fire Cause and Origin Principles, Pump Operations Simulator Training, and Peer Support 101: An Improved Approach to Firefighter Trauma. Thank you to all our local firefighters for your work to be trained and ready to come to the aid of the community whenever needed.
