A man arrested on outstanding warrants has new charges after he tried to discard drugs
during his arrest. 29-year-old Jonah Grant Betts was arrested on January 12th in Uintah
County and in the process threw tin foil containing Fentanyl and other drug materials
under a chair. Betts has a prior drug distribution conviction and at least 2 prior
convictions in the last 7 years for possession or use of controlled substances. He was
charged with 2nd Degree Felony Possession of a Controlled Substance as well as other
drug charges.
