The new Central Cove preschool is taking shape on the southeast corner of the USU property in Vernal. Uintah School District shared with Evans Family Media that construction on the Central Cove Early Learning Center has been progressing well, despite the recent change in the weather. “The footers have been poured and foundation walls are going in. The slab for the building’s floor could be poured soon, depending on weather conditions. The Uintah School District and Stout Building Contractors built a break into the construction plan to allow for the possibility of inclement weather. Fortunately, we haven’t had to implement the construction break yet.” The new Central Cove building is expected to be completed on schedule in May 2025, with students starting classes there in the fall of 2025.
