A new year means new representation of some local elected offices. Roosevelt City has
welcomed one new Councilwoman and the continued service of two incumbent
Councilmen. On January 2nd, Councilman Cody Aland and Councilman Don Busenbark
took their oaths of office for their second terms in office while Councilwoman Audrey
Goodrich took her oath of office for her first term of serving the citizens of Roosevelt on
the City Council. Each of these Council members swore to “support, obey and defend the
Constitution of the United States and the Constitution of the State of Utah.” Aland,
Busenbark, and Goodrich have each been elected to a four-year term and have committed
to serve until January 2028. The swearing in of new City Council members also took
place in Vernal City this week. Incumbent Robin O’Driscoll and new Council members
Randel Mills and Edward Long each took their oath of office and are ready for what 2024
will bring.
