High school sports are already keeping Basin athletes busy this fall. Altamont Volleyball traveled to Carbon on Tuesday, August 29th. JV came out on top while Varsity played four games and lost by two points in the end. On Friday, September 1st, Altamont High School football traveled to West Wendover winning with a final score of 41-0. The Union girls tennis team traveled to Gunnison on Thursday, August 31st. Mariah Law won 6-0, 6-0. Jordan Ross won 6-0, 6-2. Lyndee Miller won 6-0, 6-1. Savanna Price and Avery Stevens won first doubles 8-5, 6-3. Tacee Miller and Brinley Gadd won second doubles 6-1, 6-2. Kaitlynn Southam and Taylor Pippert won third doubles 8-0, 8-1. On Friday, September 1st, Tabiona Boys Baseball hosted the Tintic Miners. Varsity lost both games with scores of 8-3 and 4-2. Tabiona girls volleyball played at Intermountain Christian with the Varsity taking the win with scores of 25-11, 35-13, and 25-15. If you would like your high school team scores highlighted, email
