If you know, you know. At least that’s how those sharing their excitement about who is coming in concert for Roosevelt’s Winterfest feel. Alex Sharpe will be performing live at Union High on January 6th at 7pm. Sharpe’s fame is greatly associated with her time performing with Celtic Women though her career has included professional productions in musical theater, film, and television. The concert will also include Roosevelt’s community adult and children’s interfaith choirs and dancers. Winterfest is held each year as a series of activities and events in Roosevelt aimed at beating the winter blues. It has transformed over the years but started thanks to avid skier and local dentist Dr. Doug Ogden who wanted to see a winter activity in Roosevelt that got more people outside. That year focused on cross country skiing and since has grown into a variety of fun family activities each January. Winterfest 2024 events are being held on select days January 6th through January 27th. Tickets to the January 6th concert can be purchased at the door.
