The sky is the limit on creativity with a unique community project hosted by the Uintah County Library. The Great Book Box Build has gained momentum in recent months as locals have taken the challenge to heart and come up with some interesting designs for what turns out to be mini libraries around the community. The competition has two categories: New Build or Upcycled/Reclaimed. Imagine an old mini refrigerator sitting on a front lawn as you walk by with a sign on it that says, “Pick a book, leave a book.” Curious, you open the fridge door to find a library of books and the fridge now serves as a upcycled mini library. Many local designs are made from scratch and participants have let their imaginations run wild. While the deadline to submit an entry has passed, voting has been extended into this week. Visit the Uintah County Library for more information on how to vote in the Great Book Box Build.
