Growth continues in the oil and gas industry. One such example of this was reported during a Duchesne County Commission meeting this month. Duchesne County Public Works Director Mike Casper shared with the Duchesne County Commissioners that he had met with XCL Resources about upcoming 2024 projects. Casper shared that XCL Resources has shared plans to drill 44 new wells on the Myton Bench starting in March 2024. He noted to the Commissioners the heavy impact this will have on the roads. As the Public Works Director, Casper recommended that the Commissioners schedule a meeting with XCL Resources to discuss working together to prepare for the impact of the new wells.
