Thursday is the Great American Smokeout, a day that can serve as your smoke-free start. TriCounty Health Promotion Director, Ashley Linschoten, visited the Evans Family Media studios this week to encourage locals to participate in the event put on nationally by the American Cancer Society. Linschoten emphasized that they know that quitting smoking is not easy but the little steps can make a difference. The Great American Smokeout is really focused on encouraging those that use, to be smoke-free on Thursday as a start to a smoke-free journey.
