It can be hard to tell what progress is being made within a construction zone and how long it will be blocked off for the safety of the public. In the case of the downtown Vernal revitalization project, an update on the Zions Block parking lot has provided an outlook for the project. The curb and gutter is currently being installed in the parking lot and the conduit for underground power is nearly complete. Concrete pads, sidewalk, and drive will be constructed before winter. During the break taken during the winter months, the parking lot between Vernal Avenue and 100 West will actually be usable during that time. A compacted road base will be put down to allow for parking until paving happens in the spring.
