It was a banner year for Sweetwater County Travel and Tourism. In a Sweetwater County Travel and Tourism press release, Jenissa Meredith, CEO of Sweetwater County Travel and Tourism said, “Tourism has been absolutely thriving in Rock Springs and Green River this summer and over the past year. We saw triple the number of visitors coming through our visitor center than we saw in 2021 and 2022 and they were loving their experiences in the area.” That was true for the Rock Springs and Green River visitor centers as well. This is significant because a Sweetwater County Travel and Tourism statistic states that on average, visitors to welcome centers spend almost 70 percent more on their trip than other visitors.
