Craig Police and the Moffat County Sheriff’s Office worked together to safely bring a man into custody in Craig on Friday morning after he was reported to be walking on foot through a neighborhood with a rifle. The threat was serious enough that an emergency alert was sent out to citizens in the neighborhood telling them to shelter in place. Tanner Sholes was arrested as he approached a residence. He has been charged with violating a protection order and obstructing a peace officer.
