Give’m Health: Diabetes Prevention Classes Starting Up

If you may be at risk of developing type 2 diabetes and are looking for a route to a healthier you, TriCounty Health Department is ready to help. Another round of their Diabetes Prevention Program is starting up officially next week but an Introductory Session is happening today at TriCounty Health’s Vernal location that will go over what exactly the program is and how it can put you on track to a healthier you. Health Educator Daniel Jackson visited the Evans Family Media studios this week with information on the program and an invitation for all interested in Uintah, Duchesne, and Daggett County to join in, in person or through an online option. Jackson explains that the focus is on making lifestyle changes and just doing a little bit every day that adds up to better health. Tonight’s introductory session is happening from 4 to 5pm and week one of the program starts on September 27th.
