Altamont community and schools came together Friday, November 10th, to honor local Veterans. The start of the program included a meeting outside at the Veteran’s Memorial on Altamont’s Main Street that involved the elementary students singing several songs and remarks from Verl Tucker. The high school students and the Veterans moved into the auditorium to continue the program. Altamont High School’s choir started off by singing the National Anthem which was followed by Staff Sergeant (SSG) Ty’Lene Puro offering her remarks and feelings about the military. The program was organized by Altamont High School seniors and FCCLA members Venna Miles, Cambry Richins, and Tanzee Dahlberg.
