The Department of Workforce Services has provided updated unemployment numbers. July’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate for the state of Utah is estimated at 2.4 percent. Approximately 43,800 Utahns are unemployed and Utah’s June unemployment rate is unrevised at 2.4 percent. Daggett County reports an unemployment rate of 3.7 percent. Duchesne County reports an unemployment rate of 2.6 percent and Uintah County reports an unemployment rate of 3.2 percent. The July national unemployment rate moved down one-tenth of a percentage point to 3.5 percent.
