They’ve done it again! Naples Elementary is the Region 8 winner of the National Red Ribbon Week photo contest. The school won the award last year as well, an award which comes with cash and some bling for the school. The school received $1,000 dollars to go toward its drug education week as well as an iPad. The school was up against schools in Utah, Montana, South Dakota, North Dakota, and Colorado and each entry had to feature a double-looped red ribbon along with the theme, “Your Future Is Key, So Stay Drug Free.” The students were beyond excited by the announcement of their latest win. “It’s awesome!” shares Naples 5th grade student Jackson Boyles. “Red Ribbon Week is one of my favorite school activities because we get to do fun things all week. It’s a fun way to teach kids how important it is not to do drugs because they can ruin your life.” The students and staff of Naples Elementary thank the community for voting for the photo and making their win possible.
