You might have noticed a definite increase in electric bikes and scooters throughout the Uintah Basin. Recently the Utah Department of Public Safety featured electric bikes and scooters as part of the Back to Basic videos that they produce to help fulfill the Zero Fatalities initiative. When using either electric scooters or bikes be sure not to block sidewalks or other walkways. Be mindful of where you set your bikes/scooters. They should not be leaned against lamp posts or bus stop signs. They also should not be left in parking spots. It is important not to block crosswalks or accessibility ramps. When parking your electric bike or scooter, plan to park them between the sidewalk and the curb.
