Ashley National Forest has clear reminders for those hitting the mountains to hunt or camp: Please check with the local ranger station for the area you are staying in for any campfire restrictions, emergency closures, road closures or planned prescribed fires in the area. Please pack all your trash out with you. Do not burn it in your fire ring. Leave the Forest cleaner than you found it. This helps preserve the landscapes for all to enjoy. If you are camping, please dispose of grey and black water appropriately, so others can use the site when you depart. Remember if you are camping on the Ashley National Forest, you must occupy your trailer/camp the first night and once every 72 hours following that. You can only stay in one spot for 16 days before moving and providing that opportunity to others. Setting up a tent to hold a spot and not occupying it robs others of the opportunity so please only take a spot when you can be there to enjoy it to the fullest.
