Plans for a bike rally in Green River, Wyoming are happening and with the blessing of the Green River City Council, according to a report from Sweetwater Now. Last month was a different story, however, when members of the Council made it clear during the Council meeting that a bike rally aimed at being a little Sturgis was not wanted in the community and could impact Green River negatively. Event organizers reapproached the Council having addressed concerns and were met with support. Event organizers were able to hire sufficient security for the event which previously was a concern as local law enforcement had obligations to other local events. The Council approved the issuance of open container permits requested for what is now listed as the ‘Buck N Badass Rally’ event. According to the report, a ‘Too Broke For Sturgis’ event is already happening in Vernal this weekend, the same time as the bike rally in Green River.
