To decorate or not to decorate? That was the question before the Vernal City Council during their July meeting in regards to the newly restored T-Rex on Highway 40 near 800 West. During the meeting, Street Supervisor Clint Morton proposed cutting back on decorating the T-Rex like it had been in the past. Councilmembers Ted Munford and Dave Everett both shared concerns about preserving the statue and it was noted that while some community members want to see the decorations return, there are others that do not. Morton showed pictures of the decorations and shared that the lack of storage space is an issue. Utilizing simpler decorations was discussed while Councilmember Dave Everett wanted to compromise by still decorating the T-Rex but for fewer holidays in the year. The Vernal City Council agreed to cut back the number of decorations and to find a functional storage solution
