Last Day to Buy Christmas Tree Permit

by | Dec 22, 2017 | News | 0 comments

Better late than never! Today is the last day to purchase a Christmas tree cutting permit from the Bureau of Land Management. Permits are $10 each and one permit is allowed per household. A single person can purchase up to five permits but will be required to provide the name and address of each additional person or household for whom the permit is purchased for. There are designated areas for harvesting Christmas trees and the BLM will provide maps of the tree cutting areas along with recycling information. The BLM urges those on the hunt for the perfect tree to be safe while creating holiday memories. Stay on established roads, respect wildlife, leave gates closed, avoid private property, and carry out all trash. Office hours run from 8am to 4:30pm at the Vernal Field Office, 170 South 500 East.
