High and fast water resulted in another tragedy on the Colorado River. The Grand County Dispatch Center in Colorado received a report on June 25th of an overturned raft on the Colorado River which resulted in an unresponsive 51-year-old female being pulled from the water. Life saving measures were unsuccessful and the woman was pronounced deceased on scene. The Coroner’s Office is working with the victim’s family. The decedent’s identity will be released by the Coroner when appropriate. All are urged to use caution when recreating in the current conditions.
