Celebrating the Independence Day holiday is a multi-day event and in northeastern Utah there are multiple events to enjoy. The Dutch John Freedom Festival is one such event and it is happening before the 4th of July on Saturday, July 1st. What makes the festival extra special is that it pairs with an annual favorite car show. This year is the 18th Annual Flaming Gorge Resort Car Show that includes activities for all ages, horse petting, inflatables, music, food, and of course unique cars, trucks, and bikes on display in the most beautiful setting possible. There are no entry fees or trophies and the car show runs from noon to 5pm. Then topping off the Dutch John Freedom Festival is a fantastic fireworks show starting at dusk.
