While it may not include all the usual events and fanfare, community members in Green River, Wyoming came together to put together a scaled down version of Flaming Gorge Days rather than see it canceled. The City issued a press release earlier this month announcing that the annual event was canceled after discovering that plans had not come together. Since the announcement, community members rallied to ensure the town could still have a fun celebration which is taking place today and tomorrow. Activities include Xtreme Music Bingo, Sumo Wrestling, and Cornhole and Horseshoe Tournaments, among other activities. There will also be vendors and live entertainment. The event is being held in Evers Park in Green River and is free to the public.
