Visiting the patriotic field of flags at the walking park in Vernal has become a popular part of celebrating the 4th of July holiday but what is lesser known is that the event includes a special patriotic program as well. This year’s program is being held on Sunday, July 2nd at the Colton Pavilion at 6:00pm. Vernal City Manager Quinn Bennion says this is a moving and awesome program each year that they would love to have more people attend. The program lasts about 40 minutes and honors veterans with music, a speaker, and Civil Air Patrol ceremony. The flag field, with over 700 American Flags in place, will be set up on Tuesday, June 28th and flown until Tuesday, July 5th. Ribbons can be dedicated at dinosaurlandfreedomfest.com. Volunteers are welcome to help set up and take down the flag field on June 27th and July 5th.
