The water restrictions are now lifted for the Ashley Valley area, including culinary water for Vernal, Maeser, Ashley Valley, and Jensen districts. The Central Utah Water treatment plant had temporarily shut down as it struggled to treat the runoff water in sufficient quantities to meet culinary demand. “Through the significant effort and innovation of dedicated staff, Central Utah Water’s treatment plant is treating the challenging source water and is able to deliver high-quality drinking water in sufficient quantity to meet demand,” shares the Central Utah Water Conservancy District. “We appreciate the support of the community and all those who work to provide safe drinking water to the residents of the Vernal area.” Vernal City thanked everyone for their patience and cooperation in conserving water during the past three days in response to this unprecedented event. At this time, water use restrictions are lifted and residents can return to normal water usage. With restrictions lifted Naples Splash Park has reopened.
