USU Utah Water Watch Providing Training for Basin Residents

Utah State University is using the Utah Water Watch program to provide water quality education and data collection training to Utah residents interested in water quality and preserving Utah’s aquatic resources. Winter Harmful Algal Bloom training is taking place all around Utah in January and February. Harmful algae can produce toxins dangerous to humans, pets and livestock. Class attendees will learn how to collect algae samples and how to identify species of live algae. Training will be provided January 10th at the TriCounty Health Department in Vernal from 3 to 5pm.
