UDOT is improving intersections across the state as part of the Statewide Procurement Traffic Signal Installations effort and Roosevelt City is a recipient of the effort with the signal located at the intersection of SR-121 and 300 West. In addition a resurfacing project will be done. UDOT states that “this project seeks to preserve the life of the pavement by resurfacing the road with a chip and seal coat overlay. This process will help the deterioration of the road surface over time and improve motorist safety by providing good traction and skid resistance for vehicles.” With the resurfacing, expect one-way flagging operations, lane closures, and moderate travel delays between Main Street and Hancock Road, Monday through Friday, 7am to 7pm. Be safe by anticipating increased noise, dust and vibrations during construction , as well as loose gravel. Please use extra caution, reduce speeds, and follow all signs and signals that are posted in the work zone. Also be sure to check UDOT Traffic before you leave.
