It was a record fast Uintah County Commission meeting on Tuesday. Clerk/Auditor Mike Wilkins reported that the 2023 tax sale sold 3 parcels. The sale is ratified so Wilkins can issue tax deeds. The other agenda item was tabled but there were a few items during the public comment period. There was a report on summer reading sign ups at the Uintah County Library. As of June 1st there are 574 people signed up for summer reading. Something residents may not know is that the program is for all ages and all are invited to participate. The activity schedule is now available and participants can earn cool prizes all summer long. Finally, Sydney Millet took a moment to introduce herself to the Commission as the new Vernal Innovation Hub manager. The entire meeting can be viewed on the Uintah County YouTube channel.
