Several representatives with Ashley Regional Medical Center attended the most recent Vernal Chamber luncheon, providing an update on the organization. Ashley Regional CEO Wes Taylor shared plenty of trivia and an update on how things are going at the local medical establishment. Ashley Regional has provided nearly $6.5 million dollars in charity and uncompensated care to community members. As a for-profit hospital, Ashley Regional has paid over $2.5 million dollars in taxes. Ashley Regional is ranked a top 20 Rural & Community Hospital and is a Certified Level IV Trauma Center, fully accredited by the Joint Commission, has a CMS 5-Star Rating, has spent 7 consecutive years as a Top 100 Rural & Community Hospital, is Chest Pain Center Accredited, and is a Stroke Receiving Facility. Right now Ashley Regional is remodeling and building out an additional 30,000 square feet. Taylor had plenty more to share and concluded by saying the future is bright and there are great things to come.
