The ‘Live Like Lauryn’ event on Saturday was a success with new funds raised for the Resilience Arch Scholarship. Event organizer Brant Johnson shared that the concert was great and $3,100 dollars was raised from attendees and 4 Brothers Pizza. “This will be able to help graduating seniors who’ve shown deep residency throughout the years,” shares Johnson. “The great thing about the resilience arch scholarship is it, like the archway, is funded by people in the community. It shows that together the people in the Basin can do and accomplish beautiful things. I hope to always keep it that way. Lauryn’s family was in attendance at the benefit concert. It was a beautiful tribute to her,” continues Johnson, “and I am very grateful that I am allowed to honor Lauryn in conjunction with the Resilience Arch Scholarship.” This year’s $1,000 scholarship awardee is Sarah Young.
