The Uintah County Republican Party 2023 organizing convention was held on Thursday evening. Retiring Chairman Brian Gorum gave an emotional presentation encouraging party members to get involved in fighting against the degradation of party values, attacks on the constitution, and trends moving away from the Constitution and family values. Outgoing Vice Chair Marianne Spainhower, Secretary Steve Evans, and Treasurer Robert Foley also had a chance to share. Evans emphasized that core community values are under attack. He encouraged all to stand firm on the Party platform and encourage new people to get involved. New committee and board members were elected, including Kason Goodrich as Chairman, Matt Corbin as Vice Chair, KD Gregory as Secretary, and Jodee Shoell as Treasurer. The names of elected committee members are state committee members: Kenyan Wilkins and Bud Allen and at large committee members: Tristin Durant, Dana Haslem, Emma Taylor and Les Farnsworth.
