The Bureau of Land Management Vernal Field Office has announced that they are holding an art contest. This year’s contest will focus on 2D artwork representing the Uintah Basin’s cultural heritage and should include cultural sites or landscapes located on public lands such as cabins, homesteads, and rock imagery. The art contest will run from May 1st through the 31st. There will be three age group categories: grades K-5, 6-12 and Adult. All entries will be on display at the Uintah Heritage Museum throughout the month of June and at the Uintah County Library throughout the month of July. Winning artwork will be showcased on BLM, Heritage Museum and Library social media, websites and on the Utah State History website.
