The Grand Opening of the new Roosevelt Library is coming up this month and all are invited to come celebrate. If you’re looking for a creative outlet, get to work participating in the Roosevelt Library Grand Opening Art Show. The theme is ‘The Cover Is Not The Book’. What this means is that you create a work of art depicting a scene from a favorite book that is not already depicted on the book cover. Any kind of medium can be used and it can be a 2D image or a 3D work of art. 2D submissions will be hanging and if you want it to be framed then it can be no bigger than 8.5” by 11”. Submissions can be dropped off at the Roosevelt Library during regular operating hours. Submissions are due by April 20th. The library is also still inviting donations to go towards the purchase of furnishings and equipment for the library. Every donation is appreciated and no donation is too small. The Grand Opening is being held Saturday, April 22nd from 10am to 2pm. There will be activities, treats, and fun!
