Funding for the Roosevelt Sports Complex will be among the agenda items at the next Roosevelt City Council meeting. The Resolution will set up the renewable lease agreement through the Municipal Building Authority for the combination loan and grant funding from the Community Impact Board for the project. The new sports complex will be located at Constitution Park inside the open area of the walking path. It will add 16 acres to Constitution Park which is currently 35 acres. Plans for the sports complex include 4 new baseball/softball fields for both youth and adults, new added green lawn space for youth soccer fields, and a new multi-use cement surface.
