A sad fact of life is that as long as you have a dollar in your pocket there will be a scammer giving their best efforts to take it from you. With this truth in mind, the Duchesne County Sheriff’s Office is reminding the public to stop falling for smooth talking scammers and especially to remember “when it sounds too good to be true it probably is.” The Sheriff’s Office shares that “the main call comes up as Dave Sayer, 618-999-2357. He acts as a Public Clearinghouse Representative…Another scam going around is where the individual acts as a clerk from the Eighth District Court trying to serve papers. Please know this is a scam too and DO NOT give out any personal information.” Duchesne County Sheriff’s Office encourages all to be aware of these scams and remember the best course of action is to just hang up.
