Ashley National Forest announced on Sunday that Lost Dog Road is closed until further notice. “In the last 24 hours, there have been over 16 stuck motorists on Lost Dog, between State Highway 530 and Flaming Gorge Reservoir, south of Green River,” shares the announcement. “The road has since drifted over once again, and the Forest Service is currently working with county road and bridge crews to clear drifts from the road so they can rescue several more stranded motorists.” Lost Dog Road is Forest Service Road #12 and will be marked and barricaded as closed. Anyone who chooses to ignore the closure may be subject to criminal penalties.
