New scams are popping up all the time but that doesn’t mean old scamming tactics have slowed down. In fact, the Daggett County Sheriff’s Office is alerting the community of an active scam in which the scammer poses as a Detective and has been calling residents of Daggett County claiming they have an active warrant that needs paid. “This is the same old scam that has been circulating for quite some time and seems to surface throughout the state,” shares the announcement. “Please be advised that Daggett County Sheriff’s Office does not employ anybody named David Bradley and we will never call and demand payment over the phone. If you receive a telephone call such as this, do not give any money, gift card, or any other financial transaction over the phone.” Those with questions can call the Daggett County Sheriff’s Office at 435-784-3255 or contact your local Sheriff’s Office.
